Dr. Naoko Matsumoto was born and raised in Japan.

After working as a pediatrician in Japan, she decided to come to the United States for several years for research purposes.

She decided to stay after marrying an American, and became a pediatrician in America as well. She received her medical degree from Mie University in Japan and completed her residency at Children’s Hospital Oakland. Dr. Matsumoto has also received a PhD from researching renal physiology. She is now a board certified pediatrician in both the United States of America and Japan.

In her spare time, she loves to spend time with her kids and keeping busy by cycling with her family.
